If the mail box has the ability to forward the caller to connect with the person assigned to the extension than the service provider applies a low price per minute for a connected call. This allows the service provider to better control the cost and assure a standard profit. The connect charge ranges from three cents per minute up to 15 cents per minute depending on the service provider and the features being offered.
